The- first Australian Transport.Conference, which 'is being attorn 13d by delegates from Australia, New ZeaIr.nd, and the United States, was opened by Mr. isruce, who stated that Australia ranks third in the possessors of motor-cars. The number last year was 304,000, and is expected to increase to 375,000 by next June, being about 6 to every 100 people.
