Tlie usual Sunday clam was varied by si succession of meetings of political and Labour leaders striving to effect a settlement. In the morning a ninety■minuto meeting of the Cabinet Council was held. Meanwhile, the General Council of the Trades Union Congress is sitting at headquarters.
