DANCING.

The Kelburn Kiosk presented a scene of gaiety on Saturday evening, the occasion being the opening dance o£ the Wentwork Cabaret. The hall was tastefully decorated with coloured streamers, the lights being enclosed in Chinese _ lanterns, which helped to give a very quaint effect. About thirty couples danced to tb,e music of the cabaret orchestra, and supper was served on the balcony. .' Altogether the dance was an entire success. Exceptionally good music is played at the 15th Battery weekly dance 3in the Navals' Hall, Jervois quay, by a new orchestra, which played for the first time on Saturday night. The .excellent floor, and beautiful decorations were much to the liking of patrons, and streamers and spotlight dances added to the enjoyment of those present. ; . ■
