QUEEN'S THEATRE.

"The White Desert," now showing at the Queen's Theatre each evening, is one of the most spectacular pictures seen in these parts for some time. One of the big scenes shows a mighty avalanche of snow and ice crashing upon a road construction camp. Claire Windsor's beauty is upheld by her ability to act, and in this production she gives a vivid portrayal of a society girl face to face with a grim.and stark reality. The supporting programme is exceptionally strong, and there is also pleasing music by the orchestra.
