PAREMATA BEATING CLUB
The Paremata Boating Club held a motor-boat race during the week-end, the points counting for the Bradey Shield and the Moorehouse Cup (third race), and was the last motor-boat r^ce for the seaeon 1925-26. I'our boats crossed the line: Mr. Shearer's Robert E. Lee (17min), Mr. M'Keever's Mold (14min), Mr. Sterling's Tni (14mm), and Messrs. Pyeroft and M'Cabe's Betsy (scr). The Betsy finished first, and won the Moorehouse Cup. The Mold and Eobert E. Lee had a hard fight for second place, the Mold finishing two seconds ahead of the Robert E. Leo.
