ST. ANNE'S PARISH

The annual meeting of parishioners^ of St. Anne's Anglican Church, Northland, - was held in the Church Schoolroom on Thursday evening, Bth April. There was a good attendance of parishioners. The vicar in his address said that the year had been one of progress and the future was full of hope. There had been a-considerable increase in the number of communicants, and the improved attendance at church services, especially of men, was very gratifying. He thanked all those who hatl assisted in the many branches of church work, and especially the ladies' guild, which was not merely a sewing guild, but one which took a prominent part in the social and other, activities of the parish. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £71 3s lOcl, which he thought was the largest up to date. Finance, generally was in a very healthy condition. The vicar appointed Mr. J. M. Richardson hi? wardpn. Mr. E. Jones was unanimously elected parishioners' warden. The following were elected members of the vestry: Mesdames Wilkinson, Sotham, Eastall, and- Fraser, Messrs. Boyes, Batchelor-Cook, Berry, Bromley, H. Platt, and Good. Mr. E. Jones was elected synodsman,
