PROPOSED TOUR OF FRANCE.

LONDON, 9th April. The Management Committee of the English Rugby Union discussed the forthcoming Maori tour of Franc*, with which they are not concerned in any way, and no representative matches will be played. Subject to the union receiving proper assurances of the financial arrangements, however, and that the tour is in accord with the amateur laws of the game, it is announced that there is not objection to English county and club sides playing the Maoris.
