LONDON, 9th April,

New Zealand is paying £200,000 for th.} Medical Association's Building, accordiig to Mr. J. Phillips, auctioneer. The purchase is complete apart from the legal formalities. The value will be greatly enhanced when the Strand widening is completed. It consists of eight floors, including a public cinema in the basement, which is to be utilised for displaying films of New Zealand life and industries.

The late Mr. Massey inspected and approved' thejauilding in 1923, and Mr. Coates finalised the terms after several breakdowns during three years' negotiations. '
