BRITAIN AND IRAK
NEW TREATY SIGNED
IN ACCORDANCE WITH LEAGUE
DECISION.
(UNITED PUESB ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSIRALUN.MW SBALAND CAM ASfcXIATIOK.) LONDON, 14th January. The Colonial Office announces that a new Anglo-Irak Treaty, continuing the present regime, was.signed at Bagdad yesterday, in accordance with the terms of the decision of tho League of Nations.
The Council of the League awarded Mosul to Britain, on condition that Britain agreed to accept the mandate,for Irak for 25 years, or until Iralr enters the League" of Nations.
