DUNEDIN, 15th Jantary. The Council of the Dominion Bowling Association met to-night, Mr. H. F. M. Mercer (Dunedin) presiding. » Mr. F. J. Tasker (Wellington) wrote declining to pay a fine of £5 for defaulting at the tournament last year, as he had been too unwell to play. Notice of motion was given that at the next meeting the fine be remitted.
The question of . adopting «i new badge, the design of which w<S received, was held over till; the annual meeting, as was also a remit from the South Canterbury Centre that, all stamps for bowl testing prior to 1924 be declared illegal. ' '
The council decided to tak;i no action in regard to a proposal to play a New Zealand-England Test ".'-match during the present tournament.
It was decided that mode, rules and conditions governing all tournaments be compiled by the executive.
The council agreed that North Island rinks competing at the Australian carnival should /travel under the auspices of the association.!'
It was decided to adopt 1 .the Wellington Centre's Suggestion that an international association of the British Commonwealth of Nations be -formed with the object of- playing- international games in different countries in turn annually if possible, and it was resolved to enter into negotiations overseas. A revised list of rules was adopted, the most important being the cutting out of the 1913 stamp. ' -
