CHARGE OF MURDER
A BANK MANAGER'S DEATH

SYDNEY, 28th December
Douglas Eobertson, 37 years of age, described as a skilled labourer, has been arrested in Sydney on a charge of murdering William C. Almeida, manager of the Hampton (Victoria) branch of the Commercial Bank, on 28th November, 1924, when the bank was stuck up iy two men, one of whom escaped. The hearing of the case against Eobertson was adjourned till to-morrow. Eobertson is stated to have come from New Zealand, and had been in Sydney about a month. A man named Perkins, whom Almeida, after being wounded, held at the revolver point till he was arrested, was sentenced to fifteen years' imprisonment.
