A NEW ASPECT
THE ANGLO-JAPANESE
ALLIANCE
WHAT A FRENCH JOURNAL
POINTS OUT.
(CKITED PRESS ASSOCIATION—CO?IMQBT.)
(RECITER'S TELEGRAM.)
(Received 29th December, 8 a.m.) PARIS, 28th December.
The now aspect of tho Chinese crisis, says "Lo Temps," brings home to us the grave disadvantages which may ensue from eliding the AngLtJapanese alliance. The paper points out that tho close solidarity which united Japan and Europe would thereby be broken and the Tokio Government would be compelled, for tho purpose of ensuring the development of its interests in the Far East, to adapt its action to the de facto situation it was unable to modify. "Le Temps 3' expresses the opinion that Japanese policy is becoming increasingly supple towards the Chinese and the Eusaians, and points out that Moscow has not protested against the action of. the Japanese at Mukden.
