LOWER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL. LOAN PROPOSAL No. 1. ROADS IMPROVEMENT LOAN, 1925, £26,000. TW'OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that —^ the Lower Hutt Borough Council proposes to borrow by way of special Loan under the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and all other Acts thereunto it enabling the sum of £26,000 for the following purpose:—> The acquisition of land for the purpose of widening Railway avenue, Riverbank street, and Victoria street on the Western side of the Hutt River and Main road and Woburn road on the Eastern side of the Hutt River and the making of a new street so as to connect the Main road on the Eastern side of the Hutt River with Woburn road. £26,000 In making- the Baid new street and widening the said existing streets it is proposed to acquire out of the loan more land on both sides of the new and existing streets than is required for the purpose, with buildings and structures erected thereon, and after completion of tho work to sell or lease or otherwise deal with any surplus area in manner provided by law. The proposed provision for repayment and security for the said loan is a special rate of 205/400ths of a Id in the £ upon the whole of the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the Borough of Lower Hutt. Debentures are to be issued for a period of not less than 10 years or not more than 36J years, bearing interest at I a rate of £5 10s per centum per annum, and a sinking fund to be set up of £1 per centum per annum. . It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the preliminary expenses in connection with the scheme for which the Loan is raised, and the cost of raising the Loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year. The Lower Hutt Borough Council proposes to borrow by way o£ Special Loan, under the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and all other Acts thereunto it enabling the sum of £7500 for tho following purposes :— 1. The erection of a pavilion on the Hutt Main Recreation Ground- £7000 2. Levelling ■ and improving the said Hutt Main Recreation , Ground £500 The proposed provision for repayment and security for the said Loan is a special iats of 59/400ths of a Id in the £ upon the whole of the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the Borough of Lower Hutt. Water supply and sewerage, Western Hutt Hills, at. Melling ' £2000 2. Surface water drainage, West- ■ em Hutt Hills. £4000 The proposed provision for repayment and security for the said Loan is a special rate of 47-400ths of a Id in the £ upon the whole of the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the Borough of Lower Hutt. Debentures are to be issued for a period of not less than 10 years or not more than 36£ years bearing interest" at a rate of £5 10s per centum per annum and a linlKng fund to be sst aside of £1 per centum per annum. Debentures are to be issued for a period of not less than 10 (ten) years or more than 364 years, bearing interest at a rate of £5 10s per centum, per annum and a sinking fund to be set aside of £1 per centum per annum. It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the preliminary expenses in connection with the scheme for which, the Loan is raised, and ths cost of raising the Loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year.
