Miss Elsie Betts will play Pre: ludeaud Fugue iriE Minor (Mendelssohn); symphonic variations for pianoforte and orchestra (Gesar Franck) (at the. second piano Miss Molly Harden), Rhapsody in 0 (Dohnanyi)* Twelfth Rhapsody (Liszt),, also selections from Schumann, '. Chopin; Debussy, Poldini, Scriabine, and d'Albert. Miss Mary Shaw 'will sing Pur Dieesti (Lotte), Oh Mio: Babbino Caro (Puccini), Waltz Song Tom Jones (German), a selection of folk: songs from the English, Scotch,: Irish, Swiss, and French,, also 'the song cycle, "A: Song of Life," by 0. A. Lidgey; and songs by Rose Drover,-. Maurice Besley, and Arthur Somerville. Miss Elsie Betts is a'brilliant English concert pianist who has received the most favourable notice from London and New Zealand critics. She has high gifts of interpretation,. and combines, with this endowment flawless technique, virility of style, and a keen sense of rhythm. Miss "Elsie. Betts is. 1, a. solo player of distinction, and can be relied upon to give a musicianly performance of anything she plays.. Miss Mary Shaw .has come to Wellington direct from London, and has a .beautiful soprano voice, which she uses with mush refinement and enchantment. The box plan is at The Bristol Piano Company.
