CABLE REPAIRING
BREAK NEAR NORFOLK ISLAND.

AUCKLAND, This Day, The Iris returned this morning, having repaired a break in the Pacific cable between Auckland am) Norfolk Island. The break was located on 25th Jnile, seventeen miles from Norfolk Island. 'Ihe two ends were picked - up, and about a mile of the old line replaced by now cable, the work occupying about twelvo hours. ' .' ' ■
