m .. CT OTTAWA, 28th June. / When the, Home Bank failed laSfc year, thousands jO f - small depositors lost all they owned. Parliament has now passed a compassionate vote of 3,000,000 dollara, which all the depositors havine deposits of 500 dollars or less in the bank at the- time of the failure will xeceive 35 per cent, of the amount. -Larger depositors will have to prove straitened circumstances before they can benefit Some time ago the directors of the Home Bank were convicted and given sentences of from one to ten years. Yesterday the Appeal Court quashed the convictions on a technicality.
