THE LATE MR. MASSEY
About the date of the news of Mr. Massey's death, Messrs. John Marlowe, Savage, and Company, brought out Mr. IL, J. Constable's record of his life, in a small book called "From Ploughboy to Premier." Its publication was timely and the book should meet with a good demand, particularly from; libraries, and from those who are responsible for the upbringing of the present generation. "Many people in this country,.also, who were .personally acquainted with Mr. : Massey will realise" that the possession of a copy will be handy for. reference. Thought quite small in size, it Is a book that should be a useful addition to the Empire ."-Series," writes the London correspondent of "The Post."
Mr.•■; Constable describes Mr. Massey as an asset to New Zealand and the Empire, and those who knew him "recognised that loyalty to duty was tho aim of his daily routine and tho rock foundation of his policy." Many references will bo round to the strength of his Imperial instincts.
