, HAWERA, This Day. Ine clearing sale of the Moumahaki fatate Farm yesterday was in many respects a record. The attendance was between seven hundred and'a thousand, and included representatives from many parts of the island.

Over six hundred lots were put through during the sale, at a rate avera<rin°- between ninety- and a hundred per Sour; and there was keen competition. Ryland said sheep were secured by breeders itf the North Auckland, Waikato. Wairarapa, and Manawatu districts. Pedigree pigs were also keenly' competed for.
