BUS TRAFFIC
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I desire to draw attention to the overcrowding of some of the buses running between Lower Hutt and the city. At rush hours it is the practice to fit extra seats completely blocking the passago to tho only exit, making the rows of seats continuous from one side to the other for the full length of the bus. If one of these over-full buses caught fire the position would be distinctly dangerous, especially as the extra scat's are "difficult to remove. Arc these vehicles not licensed to carry only a limited number of passengers, and do not the rc«nl:ilions provide fur an emergency exit?— 1 urn, »to.» I UUIT IUiSIDEjST.
