NO THROUGH TRAINS TO-DAY.

On account of the washout at Piriakano through trains from Auckland arrived in Wellington to-day. A special, however, was run from Ohakune to Wellington, and it reached its destination early this afternoon: As there was no. likelihood of the ordinary express leav ing Wellington at 12.45 p.m. to-day getting through to Auckland without delay, its departure was postponed until 8.35 o'clock this evening. It is expected that the normal service will be resumed .to-morrow.
