DE LUXE THEATRE.

To-night will see the final screening at the De. Luxe Theatre of the great race between Gloaming and The Hawk for the Ormond Memorial Cup at Hastings. Before the interval a very humorous comedy picture is screened, entitled "The Speed Kid." The featured picture on the programme is "Inez from Hollywood," in which Anna Q. Nilsson, Lewis Stone, and Mary Astor take the leading roles. The main point about the picture is that Hollywood is not the wicked place ko many people think, most of the sensational happenings there being by way of advertisement. What the truth in this direction may be, "Inez of Hollywood" has an ending that one looks for in every real love story—they married, and lived happy ever after. Mr. L. D. Austin and his fine orchestra play many delightful selections. George Fitzmaurice has produced in "A Thi6f in Paradise," to be shown to-morrow, a thrilling, colourful romance that equals any previous picture directed by him. It is full of action from the opening title to the final fade-out. It is a story of a man who masquerades as another man, falls in love with one girl and is loved by another—an unscrupulous Eurasian, who is his accomplice in the impersonation. One of the unique features of the picture is a polo game played' by girls clad in bathing suits. In this picture divers fight in the perilous China seas. There is an undersea dance;- in short a thousand wonders to delight the eye. Just the picture you've been waiting for. The supporting programme will include a comedy, the latest gazette, and a musical programme by the Orchestra De Luxe. A matinee will be held on Saturday. Box plans are at The Bristol, Aitken's Book Arcade, or ring the Theatre.
