A preliminary meeting was held at Khandallnh last Thursday evening in connection with the organisation of a local branch of the 1.0.0. F. of N.Z. Reports received showed that an adequate membership was assured, and it was decided to institute the branch on Thursday, 28th instant, under the name of Onslow Lodge. Charter members were selected, and otTuu- arrangements made, i also a social committee of local members was set up to arrange for an installation supper. Herelaunga Lodge, No. 115, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., held its fortnightly meeting at Pelono last Thursday evening, Bro. W. J. Groiidin, N. 0., presiding. There was a, good attendance of members, and District Lodge was represented by Bro. J. H. West, P.G., Deputy Degree Master. In addition to routine business one candidate was elected and initialed. It was also decided to pay oflicial visits to Zealandia, No. 48, and' Bellevne, No. 126 Lodges, at their next meetings. Messrs. C. W.
