Australia, has already exported to the Old Country.a number of hierihd sheep:; which are of .distinct Australian breed, a arid the present venture will:bring before the producers in England the fact that an. equally strong and desirable breed is offered by tilis. country. The idea of sending the Cprriedales Homo originated w.ith a firlli '. with whom Messrs. Abraham and Williams are in touch; Messys: l' ; ,and J. Hughes; of Crewej who iiav'e a, branch bf their business in the Argentine; They expressed a dfesire that a number pf Cbrriedaies Bhould.Jje sent to England,-for show at Wembley^ afi.a. the High Coiiimissioher (Sir Jilmes. AUeh). passed, qn the suggestion to the Department of Industries and Commerce at. Iklfissrs. Abtaham^md Williams .approached JSh. H. T. Little; president pf the Corricdalp Association; and father tit Mr. .Henry Little; the originator .of, tile breed; with the result that four of.the six fine specihifens .inspected . this. iiiprning were selected by him. The others were purchased from him by the consignors. Owhig to the short time at the ■ disposal of the selectors, it was somewhat difficult to choose suitable animals; as the best ewes had been, mated, and, there would have been an element of risk in sending sheep .which were .in lamb.
The animals, will probably be sold in England, and it is possible tKiit the present venture will result in further trade between England and tho Dominion in tomedales.
