THE PROBABLE FINANCE

COMMITTEE.

The Reserves Committee yesterday aEternoon re-elected Councillor W. J. Thompson as its chairman, and 'the Public Health Committee this morning chose Councillor H. D. Bennett as its chairman. The probability is that Councillor Wright will preside over the Works Committee and the Mayor (Mr. C. B. Norwood) will, if past practice is followed, take the Finance and Tramway Committees. Unless changes are made in' the chairmanship of the remaining committees, the Finance Committee will be: The Mayor, Councillors H D Bennett (Health), W. H. Bennett (Milk), J. Burns (Libraries), M. F. Luckie (Bylaws), W. J. Thompson (Reserves), and R. A. Wright (Works).
