HUTT-EASTBOURNE ROAD
GOOD PROGRESS MADE.
__.The widening of "the road round the eastern- side of the harbour is proceeding rapidly, the contractor having been favoured by fine weather. Most of the work is at present confined to thi! many sharp corners which have made the Hutt-Eastbourne road • the bugbear of motorists in the past. These corners have been cut away where possible, and the" road in the vicinity considerably widened.- When this part of the work has been completed the laying down of a properly metalled road will be gone on with, and the whole work should be completed in a few months. In view of these improved facilities the question of motor buses running'round the harbour ffrom the pity to Eastbourne- is already being considered, and it" is-pro-bable that within the next few wroka a service will be started.
