HUTT'S LAST-MINUTE WIN.
It was expected that the Hutt-Karori fixture would be 1 a hard, fa§t game, and these-anticipations, were fully realised when the two'suburban teams met at Karori Park. The home, team had things air their own way nearly-throughout the ; first'spell, and repeatedly-threatened the Reds goal, but clever..-back work enabled the latter team to clear the ball' away,in time-. Finally,-from a strong forward rush,-which was well supported, Karori drove upfield, and T. Watchman was given a fine opening, of which he took full advantage. Karori 1, Hutt 0. Karori were still pressing at half-time. Immediately after the resumption, Hutt hvoned up, and play was more often than not in the Blacks' circle. R. Lusty, who was right off his game, was unsuccessfulwith several shots, while' Karori strove to. keep their lead. Hult's bully, Hoare, who' was. playing well, was given a smart centre from which he promptly netted. Hutt 1, Karori 1 Play, centred round Karori's goal, and a fine shot by Hoare finally beat Brennan in goal and gave Hutt tho victory. It was a good,-clean game, in marked .contrast to some of the exhibitions which are occasionally seen locally. Mr Q Whyte was an efficient referee.
