INTER-PARLIAMENTARY UNION

INVITATION TO NEW ZEALAND,

An invitation has been received through the Prime.Minister's .office and through the Speakers of the Legislative Council arid the House of Bepresentatives for members of the New Zealand legislature to attend a conference of t'.ie American group of the Inter-Parliamen-tary Union in October.

The letter of invitation is as follows :— "Honoured Sirs,—l have the honour and the very great pleasure,- as president of the group of tlier United States in the Intsr-Varliainentaiy Union, to extend on behalf of that group a cordial invitation to the General Assembly of New Zealand to be represented by a group of its members at the twentythird conference which the lnter-Varlia-mentnry Union will hold iii, the city of Washington, Ist to 6th October, 1925, in acceptance of an invitation extended by the President of the United States at the request of tlie Congress thereof. It needs no assurance, I trust, that your representatives will be warmly " icceived by the Interparliamentary Union and accorded a most hearty welcome to the United States.
