; , LONDON, 21st April. 5 Sir Francis Newdegate, presiding at Mr.\ Snowden's lecture on Tasmania, at the Colonial Institute, said that Tasmania, unlike the other States, was anxious to attract artisans and mechanics to develop her industries. With her unexampled hydro-electric power, Tasmania, was destined to be one of the greatest of Australian industrial centres.
