Mr. W. Simpson was returned "unopposed as Mayor. "The required number of councillors was nominated Mr. A H. Herbert Phil Pike was nominated for the one seat on the Power Board representing the borough "' ■ BLENHEIM, This Day. Mr. Malcolm M'Kenzie, who has been acting as Deputy-Mayor, was elected unopposed to the Mayoralty. There are fifteen candidates for nine seats on tho council, four candidates for two seats on the Power Board, and five candidates for three seats on the Hospital Board. HOKITIKA, This Day. Mr. Ueorge Perry was re-elected Mayor unopposed, for the eighth term. Only the required number of councillors were nominated. Mr. Samuel Evans has been re-elected Mayor of Ross. THAMES, This Day. w-i T\r^- Rhodes ' M-P "' has i, elected Mayor, unopposed. There are thirteen candidates for nine seats on the council, ' only ' six of the old council standing. There will no elections for the Hospital, Harbour, or Power Boards. WAIROA, This Day. The sitting Mayor (Mr. J. Corkill) was returned unopposed to-day. TAUMARUNUI, This Day. There are three candidates for "the Mayoralty: Messrs. G. A. Stanton, O E. Manson, and R. B. Williams. The present Mayor (Mr. C. C. Marsack) is not seeking re-election, fifteen candidates have been nominated for nine seats on the Borough Council, four candidates for two seat.? on the' Hospital Board, and five candidates for two seats on the River Trust. HAVVEUA, This Day. Messrs. John Gray Osborne and Ernest Arthur Pacey have been nominated for the Mayoralty. There are twelve nominations for nine seats on the Borough Council. CAMBRIDGE, This Day.
