ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED

The body of a man was , discovered floating in the Harbour off the Rowing Club sheds by a passerby- shortly after 6 o'clock on .* y-4ay morning. The matter was reported to the police, and the body was recovered by Constable Cleverley and removed to the morgue, where it was subsequently identified to be that of Charles Rowden, 69 years of age, a married man, *vho resided with his wife at 27, Rugby street. An inquest was. conducted by Mr. Riddel!, S.M., yesterday afternoon, when it was stated that deceased was employed as a casual labourer by the Wellington Harbour Board, and had been in poor health, suffering with heart trouble and giddiness. The Coroner found that deceased was accidentally drowned in Wellington Harbour near the boating sheds on 16th March. ■
