DAIRY PRODUCE TRADE
Mr. G. D. Macfarlane, chairman of directors of the New Zealand Producers' Co-operating Marketing Association, London, has been addressing South Island dairy factory directors on marketing butter and cheese in the United- Kingdom. He spoke from first-hand knowledge of •'the subject, as producer and distributor.'" He was for a number of years chairman of the Riverbank Butter and Cheese Co-operative Co., Woodville. Accompanied by Mr. G. S. Davidson, secretary to the company, Mr. Macfarlane will deliver an address on distribu-tion-of butter and cheese in the.Old Country, to directors pi Wairarapa' coiri-^ panics next week. He is strictly, advocating the absolute control of the marketing of. butter and cheese on behalf ..of primary' producers, as it is intended to be exercised by the Dairy Produce' Control Board.
