STAFF PICNIC
Real picnic spirit was eviflent on Sat- ! urday last, when the whole of the head j office staff of the Ilott Advertising ! Agency journeyed to Maidstone Park for j the annual picnic event. It would have been difficult for an onlooker to associate the merry fun:making crowd with a serious business office-staff. Fortunately the weather^was kind, and a keenly competed tennis tournament and cricket match developed enthusiastic appetites for lunch, which, was served on tables under the trees. Baseball and an excellent programme of sporting events, made the afternoon pass all too quickly. Races and competitions of all sorts had been arranged, and the large number of entries paid tribute to the enthusiasm of all present. At the close of the afternoon prizes and trophies were presented to the winners by Mrs. J. '■M. A. Ilott, and a tired but merry crowd returned to Wellington well satisfied with the entire da v. ■ -
