The Supreme Court has been occupied, for three days in,hearing an action in which .James Horace Wilson, 'mortgagee .pf.-.a./sjEa't'^pn property sold' by hirri in 1919 to the late Johii'Withell, sued.- the" latter's • trustees for negligence in regard to the. setting-on fira of standing scrub, allegedly occasioning damage to the property, and aiso . ior damage through the removal and reconstruction of .buildings., Much evidence was given as' to the practice'of the farmers in the district in dealing with scrub.
