THE PRIME MINISTER
It was, no doubt, a matter'for great satisfaction to his friends that the Prime Minister felt equal to presiding yesterday at the luncheon to the All Black footbakers. Many reports have been current as to the state of his health, and speculations made as to his political future. In his own opinion Mr. Massey is "now round the corner," and he expects to be in his place and doing his work as usual when the House meets. He has innumerable friends and admirers among those who do not always see things from his. political viewpoint, and these, with his supporters, will rejoice to learn that he is about again. From the present aspect' of things political, the Prime Minister and members of the Government generally may count upon a fairly strenuous time during the next session of -Parliament, and after. It is, therefore, gratifying in the circumstances to report that the Prime Minister feels confident that his health will be sd far restored as to justify him in continuing the high and onerous duties. attaching to his position.
