The production amounted to 11,618,216 tous, valued at the pit mouth at £9,589,547. This is an increase oyer 1923 of 1,139,703 tons, valued at £981,655. The highest tonnage recorded previously was 10,793.- 1 387 tous in 1921. . I

The total output of coke in 1924 was 564,362 tons, valued at £932,926. This was a decrease ot 16,012 tons, valued at £8397, compared with the previous year.
