HUTT VALLEY LADIES' CLUB.

The following ladies were present at tho H.V.L.M.R.C. range on Thursday evening last to entertain the South Club: — Mrs. Childs, Warner, Cunliffe, Nicholas, Galvin, YerrauV Henry, May, Whetton, O'Rourke, House, and Nightingale, Mißses O'Nean, Lawrie, and Flowers. On Wednesday, 15th October, the Hutt Valley ladies entertained the Petone Working Men's E.C. in a friendly match to celebrate tho opening of the new extension to tho club room. Mr. W. Buck, president of the P.W.M.C. and patron of tho H.V.L.M.R.C., said that tho new addition to the club room added greatly to the value of the property and to the safety of the members using the range. Mr. Childs, on behalf of the ladies, thanked tho committee of tho P.W.M.C. for their generosity in providing the timber for the new work and tho gentlemen of the P.W.M.R.C. who had so kindly given their labour. Members of tho P.W.M.C. thanked tho ladies for the comfortablo way in which they had refurnished tho club room. After a dainty Bupner had been partaken of a community sing brought a very enjoyable ovening to a closo. Mrs. Nicholas, Mrs. Honry, and Miss O'Nean tied for the men's trophy, and in the shoot-off Miss O'Nean proved the winner. Mrs. House received tho consolation price. Mr. Henry and Mr. Blnndford had to shoot-off for the ladies' trophy, which went to Mr. Henry, while Mr. E. A. TJrwin took the consolation prize. Following are the scores. i
