A DENIAL
Mr. Barber, of the firm of Barber and Whetton, garage proprietors, Petone, denies the statement that the handbrake of tho car which caused the fatality was defective. He says that yesterday morning, in the presence of a traffic inspector and the police, the handbrake was tested, and it "held" the car on Dixon street hill.
