MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., presided at to-day's sitting <of the Magistrate's Court. A first offender for drunkenness was fined 10s. George William Irwiu was sentenced to 21 days' imprisonment for deserting from the steamer Hoiorata. James Henry Flight, on a charge of failing to maintain his wife, was remanded to appear at Napier ou the 4th I April.
