DAIRY CONTROL
MUCH MISAPPREHENSION
<BI TELEGRAPH—P«IS« AHOCIATIOK.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. "There is absolutely no truth in statements published to the effect that the I National Dairy Council has gone over the heads of producers in selecting candidat«s for the Daily Control Board," remarked Mr. Grounds, chairman of the National Dairy Council, to a. "Standard" reporter. • " There is much misapprehension about the whole question. What we (the Dairy Council) asked districts to do was to select nominees, but, as many did not, the council decided to hold a ballot of all names of possible candidates put up. It has been stated that some of the selected candidates are connected with the Meat Board. This is absolutely wrong. I can say definitely no nominee of the Dairy Control Board is in any way connected with the Meat. Board. The Dairy Council's sole aim has been to give fair and adequate representation to all districts. We are satisfied that the men who have been selected as candidate* are the best that, could be obtained anywhere."
