WELLINGTON DEFEAT LOWER HUTT.
An inter-club match played this week between the. Wellington and Lower Hutt Ladies' Golf Clubs resulted in the Wellington team winning by nine games to one.. .A junior match was more evenly contested, Wellington winning four games and Hutt three, the eighth being finished all 'square. The following are the results, the Wellington players being mentioned first in each instance:— Seniors, Miss Gambrill beat Mrs. Murplfv 5 up and 4to play; Miss Bell beat Miss Jervis, 3 and 2; Miss Brandon beat Mrs Spiers, 2 and 1; Miss Marchbanks beat Miss Flux, 1 up; Mrs Sclanders lost to Mrs. Holmwood, 3 and 1; Mrs. Lees beat Miss K. Wilson, 3 and 2; Mrs. Weston beat Mrs. Treadwell, 4 and 3; Miss M'Clure beat Miss E. Wilson, 2 and 1; Miss Ward beat Miss V. Jones, 1 up; Mrs. Marchbanks beat Miss Parsons, 8 and 7. Juniors. Miss EAven beat Miss Bunny, 2 and Is Mies'Kiely beat Mrs. Holmes, 4 and 2; Miss Harcourt lost to Miss T Bunny, 4 and 3; Mrs. Nathan beat Miss A. Bunny, 1 up; Miss Wheelerbeat Miss V. Jones, 4 and 3- Mrs Young and Mrs. Carminer, all square; -Miss J. Marchbanks lost to Mrs Chesney, 6 and 4; Miss Dyer lost to Mrs. Speedy, 5 and 4.
