Mr- C- W. Shepley and.Mrs. Shepley left yesterday by the Ulimaroa on a holiday visit to Sydney and Adelaide Mr. Clarence Roy Barrett was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme. Court this morning by Mr. Justice Chapman, on the motion of Mr. R. St. J. Beere. Captain Arthur Coningham, D.S.O M.C,DJC, Royal Air Force, of Wellington^ has been promoted Squadron Leader in command of the 55th Squadron at Mosul, Mesopotamia.
w Ata. meeting of the Council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce yesterday, Messrs. Michael M. Lewis (P Hayman and Co) and G F. Turner (John MUls. and Co.) were elected members of the Chamber.
