Mussolini, on Bth August, sent to Senator Cuartieri, leader of the Italian delegation which .negotiated,the execution of the Treaty at Rapallo, a letter to be. communicated to the Jugo-Slav delegation, stating that, the Italian Government is unable, any longer to .tolerate the Jugo-Slav opposition to the solution of the Adriatic problems. It adds that Italy has abundantly proved the loyalty of her intentions and the frankness ot her attitude in evacuating the tjiird Dalmatian zone and. executing other causes of the, Treaty. The letter concludes by saying that unless a .solution is reached by 31st August, Italy reserves full liberty of action.
