BOSTON. 24th August. In the second semi-final of the National doubles, W. T. Tilden and B. I. C: Norton defeated "Manuel Alonzo and Wallace Johnson, 7-9/8-6; 8-6, 6-2.' The first set opened quietly, -Norton being slow .to settle down, but his tennis was brilliant towards the end of the set. AJonzo and Johnson won the first set on Norton's errors. . .In i the second 'arid third sets scintillating'; tennis was seen;'\Tildeh and Alonzo being particularly brilliant, the latter making extraordinary backhand recoveries.
