DULL AND MISTY

Weather conditions locally have taken another turn to-day, and.this afternoon the experience was in accordance with, trie forecast of the-Director of the Meteorological Office—"dull and misty." Mr. Bates'stated to-day that the storm reported during the past two days appai"ently passed in the North, although very low readings of the' barometer were recorded this morning at Cape Maria Van Diemen and Tauranga. The westerly storm area, which has neutralised the tropical cyclone as far as Wellington is concerned, is now exercising an influence on the 'northern disturbance, which ;is passing away.
