SYDNEY, 16th July, i The Irish envoys were deported on the Mongolia to-day. They will be accompanied by two Federal officials as far as Fremantle. ~' (Received 17th July, noon.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Irish Envoys, having refused certain of the Federal 'Government's terms on which, they could depart voluntarily, were removed from the Long Bay Prison and secretly placed aboard the Mongolia, The news leaked out, and a number of their friends attempted to communicate with them, but were prevented. A crowd gathered on the wharf to watch the ship's departure, and rumours were current that there would be maritime trouble-if the envoys were placed aboard any vessel whose crew were on Australian articles. This difficulty was overcome by utilising a ship with a crew on English articles
