QUEEN'S THEATRE.
Great excitement always pervades the atmosphere of electioneering, but when a candidate, supported and boomed by the majority of the most; respected and honoured persons of the constituency, i» exposed at the eleventh hour as a fraud 1, an acceptor of bribes from corrupt parties, bedlam is let loose. To see the candidate,, reposing in'the confidence of-suc-cess,, hauled from his car, exposed by a, jilted lover, and soundly ,■ thrashed as adishonourable- man, is one of the many dramatic incidents with which the spectator is entertained in " The Scarlet Car," which is now showing at the Queen's Theatre. The principal role is played by Herbert Rawlinson, ' well knownto all lovers'of the film. The second star, " The Cub Reporter,", provides Richard. Talmadge a great opportunity : of displaying ; his..remarkable ■genius.in portraying the most daredevil scenes. The story tells of a man whose life is wrapped up in twol hobbies, collecting milhbns and Oriental'antiques.-. Additional enjoyment, is provided by the usual good programme of music by tha Queen s splendid orchestra, under th« able direction:of Mr. A. H. Jerome.
