ANZAC DAY

The Prime Minister has received from the Sailors and Soldiers Fathers' Associotion, Twoowoomba, Australia, the following letter : "In appreciating all those who would observe Anzac Day as sacred to the ■memory of the Noble Dead, our executive passed a resolution at its last meeting that New Zealand should be complimented on truly observing Anzac Day by closing-down all activities. We are hopeful that Australia will follow, so that those whose sons contributed to make the name Anzac famous may be found on the 25th April of each year observing- the day in uniform, manner." The Prime Minister, in reply, has thanked the Toowoomba branch of tlio association for its kind appreciation and approval of the Dominion's action.
