Tho interesting announcement was mado at the annual dinner of the Edinburgh Burns Club that Ellisland. tho well-known Dumfriesshire farm associated with Scotland's national poet, has been presented to the nation. Ellisland was purchased a short timo ago by Mr. Gecirge Williamson, a former president of tho club, whoso death occurred a few weeks ago, and it was one of his latest public-spirited acts to 'instruct his brother, Mr. John Williameon, a member of tho Edinburgh Burns Club, to have the property handed over to the nation as a permanent centre of Burns's interest and repository for Burns's relics.
