Wind—O, calm; L. light; Br. breeze; FB. fresh breeze; MG, moderate gale; G, whole or heavy gale; W, gale of exceptional severity.

Seas—Hough swell, but decreasing, on all the western coast; moderate elsewhere. Tides—Good generally. Weather—Cold and showery in the northern, West Coust, anil southern districts; cool and changeable elsewhere, but the weather should improve.
