TRAINING COLLEGE MATCH

Teams representing the Ohristchurch and Wellington Training Colleges played their annual match yesterday. The game was keenly contested, the forwards of both teams monopolising the play. In the first spell Wellington led by 8 points to nil, Phillips and Miller scoring tries, and Miller converting one. The visitors seb out in the second spell to wipe off the deficiency, but found that Wellington was strong on defence. Christchurch, however, were . successful with a penalty kick. While there was not much combination among the backs, several players shone in individual work. The gamo ended; Wellington, 8; Christchurch, 3.
